Dear Leader,
In a dark world, Jesus is our light and hope, and He asks us to shine His light and hope to the world. Consider His words: "You are the light of the world. A city on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven."
My friend Jon Egan (Desperation Band) recently wrote a song called Light Up The World. That cry is what we are praying God stamps on the hearts of young people this summer at the Desperation conferences. Thousands of students are spending time with Jesus everyday, praying, fasting, and advancing His Kingdom. We must do more than keep young people from making bad choices. We must demonstrate and call students to follow Jesus and light up the world!
As youth leaders, we are committed to personally following Jesus and making young disciples who will burn with passion for Jesus and shine His light. Join us this summer at New Life Church, located at the foothills of the Rocky Mountains in Colorado Springs for our eighth annual Desperation conference. This year, two conferences are available (June and July) to better accommodate your youth schedule.
I look forward to seeing you and your students this summer.

Brandan Bustamante – Thursday Night
With a desire to see today’s church worship God in spirit and truth, Brandan Bustamante has emerged as a new voice in the ever-changing world of worship music. A heart for uniting believers drives the band’s fresh sound and has served as a foundation for the development of their unique prayer ministry “Empire’s Rise.” Their newest recording “The Dawn,” produced by the Kurnoll (Deyo, Alabaster Box), has seen tremendous success on an international level. Brandan and the band pray consistently for a revival of prayer among the generations.
